If you need tree surgery, tree removal or site clearance, you can speed things up by sending us clear photos and a short video of the job.

What we quote for

We can usually provide an initial quote for:

  • Tree surgery and removals, including sectional dismantles where access is tight
  • Problem branches, such as a limb overhanging a roof, road or neighbour
  • Stump removal / stump grinding
  • Vegetation and site clearance for gardens, plots and development sites

Prompt and reasonable quotation. Very professional service with great attention to safety. Properly equipped. Felled my tree quickly and without fuss. Ground the stump to below soil level and turfed the area. Cleared the debris and left the site clean. Very courteous team, highly recommended.

How it works

1. Tell us what you need

Let us know which of our services you need. The more detail you can provide, the more accurate our quote will be.

2. Upload photos and videos

This gives us a better idea of the scale and scope of the work required. A short, 30–60-second video is enough.

3. We review and respond

We'll assess your request, decide on the best course of action, and come back to you with a quote as soon as possible.

Name

Local, expert support

We’re based in the North West and work across Preston, Lancashire and surrounding areas, helping homeowners, landlords, managing agents and commercial sites with safe, tidy tree work and clearance. If you send photos and a short video, we can usually confirm the right approach quickly and offer a fast quote.

With Great Oaks, you’ll get:

  • A qualified, experienced team carrying out tree surgery, removals and site clearance to recognised arboriculture guidance.
  • Clear communication on what’s included, likely timescales, and what we need from you to price the job accurately.
  • Respect for your property, including practical planning around access, nearby structures, and tidy removal of arisings where requested.

How to film your video

If you can, please capture:

  • The whole tree/area first – step back and pan slowly
  • A closer view of the specific issue (e.g., a branch, decay, split, leaning stem, storm damage)
  • Access to the work area: gates, alleyways, driveways, tight corners
  • Nearby targets (conservatory, greenhouse, shed, parked cars, power/phone lines)
  • Where you’d like arisings to go
  • If you’re filming alone: keep it slow, steady, and talk through what you’re showing.

Not sure about TPOs or conservation areas?

If you’re in a conservation area or the tree has a Tree Preservation Order, permission may be needed before work starts. If you’re unsure, tell us and we’ll advise as part of the quote process.
