Retendering, setting budgets or planning ahead for your current contract end date?
We’ll review your specification and walk your sites with a director, free of charge. Within three working days of the visit, you’ll have a fully costed proposal.
Grass, hedges, trees and vegetation management, all delivered by our own teams under one contract.
Councils, housing providers and managing agents appoint us directly
National contractors bring us in
One national grounds contractor places its planned maintenance rounds with us, across housing, courts, fire service and commercial estates. All of it is grounds and tree work.
Appointed to the Fusion21 Grounds Maintenance Framework, running to June 2030. Members can appoint us by direct award or through further competition.
Grounds maintenance, arboriculture and vegetation management, all in house.
Our own operatives, trained and assessed at our own City and Guilds approved assessment centre in Preston, the same centre other firms send their staff to.

Housing, schools and commercial sites each come with their own requirements for access, specification and evidence of every visit.
Estate greens, hedges and communal areas on a planned round, with the tree work and vegetation clearance from the same contractor.
Work planned around the school day, DBS checked staff and a written risk assessment before anyone sets foot on site.
Business parks, offices and retail frontages on a planned cycle agreed for the site, to a schedule you can hold us to.
Great Oaks is a commercial grounds maintenance contractor based in Preston, working across Lancashire and the North West. The work is contract work, planned cycles of up to 20 visits a year rather than call-outs, for estates and facilities managers, housing officers and procurement teams.
Grounds maintenance covers grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding, herbicide application, vegetation clearance, planting, moss removal and leaf clearance, on sites from a single frontage to business parks grounds maintenance and multi-site rounds. Arboriculture and vegetation management are done in house, so the grass, the hedges and the trees stay with one contractor.
Grounds, trees and vegetation from one contractor, on a planned cycle, with the completion pack for each visit shared from the office as soon as the crew signs it off on site.
If you are reviewing your grounds maintenance contract for the 2027 season, the next step is the free 2027 Grounds Maintenance Review. A director walks your sites with you, reads your current specification and looks at site condition, visit frequency, problem areas and access. After that visit we can have a written, costed proposal with you within three working days.
A missed cut is visible to every tenant, customer and visitor by the end of the same week.
Sight lines left to overgrow at entrances, junctions and crossings are a recorded hazard, not a tidiness question.
Reactive call-outs cost more than planned, cyclical rounds, and the difference shows by autumn.
At audit, the question is not whether the ground was maintained but whether you can evidence every visit.

How to appoint us
Great Oaks Tree Services Ltd is one of 22 suppliers appointed to the Fusion21 Grounds Maintenance Framework, worth up to £85 million and running to June 2030.
Fusion21 members can appoint us through the framework by direct award, without running a new tender, or through a further competition. Members include housing providers, councils, education, the NHS and blue light services.
Insurance held: £5 million public and products liability, £10 million employers’ liability and £1 million professional indemnity.
The figures below come from our own operations system, not from a brochure. A national grounds contractor places its planned maintenance rounds with us across 40 sites, spanning housing, courts, fire service and commercial estates, and we run grounds contracts of our own alongside that work on planned cycles of up to 20 visits a year.
Every visit is booked on the same system. The crew signs it off on site, the completion pack with the photographs is shared from the office, and the invoice is raised off the same record. The crews doing the work are assessed at our own City & Guilds approved assessment centre in Preston, the same centre other firms send their staff to. The evidence exists before anyone asks for it.
In addition to maintaining business parks and commercial sites, we support clients working in infrastructure, utilities, and housing development. Our teams are experienced in delivering safe, reliable grounds maintenance on utility and infrastructure sites, where access, visibility, and site condition are business-critical.
Typical services include:
Vegetation clearance and tree surgery around substations, pipelines, and service routes
Grounds upkeep on operational or high-risk sites
Reactive maintenance following storms or upgrade works
We understand the operational demands of live infrastructure and bring the right training, equipment and procedures to every job.
We deliver grounds and tree work for councils, housing providers, managing agents and national contractors.
Moving contractor mid-season is what stops most reviews turning into a decision. It does not have to be a scramble.
If you choose to move, we build the mobilisation plan around your current contract end date, so the handover happens on the date you need.
The schedule of rounds is agreed in writing before we start, so both sides know what is planned for the season.
Site-specific RAMS are issued before anyone is on site, not afterwards on request.
From the first visit onwards, every visit is booked on our own operations system and signed off on site with photographs.
1. A walk-round of your site with a director, free, at a time that suits your team.
2. A written proposal with RAMS, a schedule of rounds and a price that holds.
3. Mobilisation with the paperwork done, then photographs and a completion record for every visit.
