For schools and nurseries

Grounds Maintenance for Schools and Nurseries

Cyclical grounds, tree safety and clearances for schools and nurseries across Lancashire and the North West, with the evidence trail your governors and auditors expect.

The risks that land on your desk

Trees over playgrounds and parking need an inspection record, not an assumption.

Contractors arriving in term time without DBS checks create a safeguarding question you have to answer.

Chainsaw work by operators without current certificates can put a site’s insurance position at risk.

At inspection, what counts is the paper trail: surveys, method statements and completion evidence.

Scheduling work through the academic year

Autumn. Leaf management, hedge structure, path edges and the first pitch repairs.

Winter. Gritting plan, tree inspections, the pruning window and bed preparation.

Spring. Presentation uplift before parents' evenings and open events, and line marking starts.

Summer. Peak mowing cadence, exam-aware scheduling, shrub shaping and edging.

Sixth forms, colleges and multi-site trusts

Grounds care planned for FE colleges, sixth forms and multi-site academy trusts, not just single primaries.

Visits aligned to term dates, exams, open days and events, so work happens when the site can take it.

Bank and slope work, path edge control and sports marking run on the same cycle as mowing and hedge care.

Reactive call-outs for storm damage or urgent presentation, so routes stay open and safe.

The paperwork is the product

Evidence your auditors will like

Every visit runs through our own job-management system, so the record builds itself while the crews work. When your governors or auditor asks what the contract delivered, the answer is a file, not a phone call.

Every scheduled visit logged and photographed. You see the work, not just an invoice

Vetted completion packs

Dated before-and-after evidence, checked by the office before it reaches you

Site-specific RAMS per site

Risk assessments and method statements written for each site, not photocopied from the last one

Qualified, insured teams

Uniformed crews holding current City & Guilds NPTC certificates, tracked against expiry

One office to deal with

Call 07884 274693 and you reach the office that schedules the crews, not a call centre

Tidy sites, safe exclusion zones and access kept clear around buildings and play areas
