Seven groups. Every line links to the page that explains that service, the standards it works to and how it is recorded. Start with the group that matches your estate.

Vegetation and site clearance

Plots, access routes and overgrown land cleared under a written RAMS, with waste removed under licence.

For groundworks, utilities and estates that need a site ready by a date.

If the work you need sits across two or three of these groups, that is the point. One contractor, one crew on site, one record of every visit. Ask for a quote and describe the estate, not the service.

On site

The same crews do the grounds work and the tree work

Grounds and tree work on client sites in the North West, carried out by our own crews with our own machinery. That is what one contractor for the estate means on site.

How the work is evidenced

Every visit leaves a record

A monthly grounds visit and a one-off tree removal run on the same route from booking to invoice. Nothing depends on someone remembering to write it up.

  1. The visit is booked

The site, the work and the crew go on the schedule.

  2. The crew signs it off on site

When the work is done, the crew signs the visit off on site with photographs.

  3. The record reaches the office

The completion record, with the photographs, reaches the office.

  4. The office shares it with you

You receive the completion record for the visit, so you can see what was done without going to site.

  5. The invoice is raised off the same record

What you are billed for is what was signed off. There is no second version.

That record is what you hand to an auditor, a resident, a landlord or a framework manager when they ask what was done and when.

What you can check

Check us before you commit

These are the things a procurement or estates officer can verify. Each one is either on a public register or can be evidenced on request.

Accreditations and appointments

  • Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor. The Arboricultural Association's own scheme for tree work contractors.
  • Appointed to the Fusion21 Grounds Maintenance Framework, 2026 to 2030. Public bodies can call off through the framework. See frameworks and procurement.

Public sector clients

  • Lancashire County Council
  • Fylde Borough Council

Both awards are on the public record. National contractors place grounds and tree work with us in the North West. Those relationships are set out in the Capability Pack, available from the procurement page.

Testimonials from clients are on the testimonials page.

Where we work

Based near Preston, working across the North West and Cumbria with our own crews. The locations pages list the towns and the work we do in each.

Emergency only

24/7 emergency response

Storm damage, a failed tree on a road, a building or a live site: we respond around the clock. This is for emergencies only. Routine and planned work is scheduled in the normal way, in working hours.

Our crews are assessed at our own City and Guilds approved assessment centre, centre number 075022.

Councils and public bodies

Buying through a framework or a tender

Great Oaks is appointed to the Fusion21 Grounds Maintenance Framework, 2026 to 2030. If your organisation buys through Fusion21, the compliance stage is already done and a call-off can start from your specification.

If you run your own tender or quotation exercise, the procurement page sets out how we answer it. It covers the questions procurement teams ask us and the Capability Pack we send in response.

Lancashire County Council and Fylde Borough Council are among the public bodies we work for. Both are on the public record.

Next step

Send us the site, or the specification

A site address and a description of the work is enough to start. If you have a specification, a schedule of rates or a site plan, send that too and the quote is written against it.

A package can be written within days and a crew cut in within a week, where the site allows it.
