BNG should help a scheme progress, not stall it. We plan and deliver measurable Biodiversity Net Gain that fits build sequences, public interfaces and maintenance budgets. From UKHab baselines and metric input to habitat creation and simple monitoring notes, everything is designed so it can be built, looked after and evidenced over time.
We are an Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor with a wider accreditation stack that gives planners confidence and keeps sites safe. Operatives and consultants are qualified and insured, used to working alongside design teams and live construction.

| Objective | What we do | When it happens | What you gain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Confirm a defensible baseline | UKHab survey and baseline map | Pre-app and concept stages | Robust starting point for BNG calculations |
| Lock in unit gains | Metric calculations with design options and sensitivity checks | During layout development | Clear unit trajectory with buildable details |
| Submit with confidence | Planner-ready BNG Plan with drawings and management principles | At submission or to discharge | Clear narrative that explains delivery and monitoring |
| Make it real on site | Habitat creation and enhancement works | Enabling works and early construction | Works to spec with photo records |
| Keep it thriving | HMMP with seasonal tasks and monitoring visits | Post-consent into establishment | Predictable aftercare and simple evidence |
| Balance on-site vs off-site | Identification of off-site units or habitat agreements | If on-site units fall short | Viable compliance route with clear responsibilities |
UKHab baseline surveys with clear mapping
Biodiversity metric calculations, option testing and advice on unit position
BNG Plans for planning, with drawings and management principles
Habitat creation and enhancement for grassland, scrub, native hedgerows, tree and woodland planting, ponds and wetlands
Integration with tree surveys and landscape details so designs are buildable
Habitat Management and Monitoring Plans (HMMP) with seasonal operations and KPIs
Practical delivery teams for planting, fencing, guards, mulches and establishment watering
Monitoring visits with short notes and dated photos that satisfy conditions
Designs that sit neatly within construction sequences
Plant and seed choices that maintenance teams can actually support
Simple responsibilities and first-year schedules
Plain-English monitoring notes with photos
Coordination with tree protection and landscape plans so nothing clashes
Prioritise on-site where space, access and long-term maintenance are realistic.
Blend if small areas off-site unlock better habitat outcomes or protect programme risk.
Go off-site where physical or operational constraints make on-site delivery unworkable. We can identify viable off-site units or suitable habitat agreements and set out responsibilities and evidence.

Baseline and feasibility
UKHab survey, constraints and a clear view of what is realistic on the site, including the likely balance between on-site and off-site units.
Design and metrics
We run the metric alongside the evolving layout, advising on unit gains that can be achieved with sensible, buildable details. You get recommendations and drawings ready for submission.
Planning and conditions
A planner-friendly BNG Plan explains baseline, proposals, management and monitoring. The drawings align with your submission pack.
Delivery on the ground
Our teams implement the habitats to specification, with photo records and simple as-built notes.
Management and monitoring
Seasonal tasks, agreed visit windows and short monitoring notes so progress can be demonstrated through establishment.
Straightforward, evidence-based advice that keeps programmes realistic
End-to-end delivery from survey and planning through to habitat creation and aftercare
Practical site teams with the right plant, materials and supervision
ARB Approved Contractor status and a strong accreditations set for assurance

What if our site cannot achieve the full target on site?
We will assess realistic on-site potential and identify off-site units or habitat agreements, setting out responsibilities and evidence.
Do you provide the monitoring as well as the initial plan?
Yes. Establishment and monitoring visits are included where agreed, with short notes and photos that meet planning expectations.
Will BNG conflict with access and drainage?
We plan habitats around access routes, drainage and utilities so details are buildable and maintainable.
Can you deliver the planting and fencing?
Yes. Our teams handle planting, guards, fencing and aftercare to specification.
Can you coordinate with our tree survey or landscape team?
Yes. We collaborate with your design team and can provide CAD layers to streamline coordination.
Where do you work?
Based in Preston, we cover Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cumbria and nearby areas across the North West. If you are close by, ask and we will confirm availability.
