Worth knowing locallyKirkham is a different job to Preston
The planning authority here is Fylde Council, not Preston City Council. Kirkham town centre has a conservation area around St Michael’s, and individual trees across the borough carry Tree Preservation Orders. We check before we cut, and if consent is needed you hear about it on the quote, not after the saw is out.
Access shapes the method too. A lot of Kirkham work sits in small gardens behind the terraces off Poulton Street, on farm shelterbelts off Lower Lane, or at the edge of Warton. In a tight garden we dismantle in sections and rig the timber down; on a Freckleton or Wrea Green holding we can often fell to length and chip in the field. We decide that on the visit, not from a template.
