Training Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Great Oaks Tree Services (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and the participant (“you” or “your”) regarding the arboriculture training courses we provide. By enrolling in our training courses, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Enrolment and Registration
1.1 Eligibility: All participants must be at least 16 years old or have parental consent if under

18.

1.2 Registration: Enrolment in any course requires completing the registration form and payment of the applicable course fee. Course spaces are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

1.3 Payment: Full payment is required at the time of registration unless otherwise stated. We accept payments via [insert payment methods here].

2. Cancellations, Refunds, and Transfers 2.1 Participant Cancellations:

• If you cancel at least 15 days before the course start date, you will receive a full refund minus a processing fee of [insert amount].

• Cancellations made within 14 days of the course start date are non-refundable. However, you may transfer your registration to a future course date or to another individual with prior approval from us.

  2.2 Course Rescheduling or Cancellation by Great Oaks:

• We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel courses due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to insufficient enrolment, weather conditions, or instructor unavailability.

• In such cases, you will have the option to transfer to a future course date or receive a full refund.

  3. Code of Conduct
  3.1 Behaviour: All participants are expected to behave professionally and respectfully toward

  instructors, fellow participants, and property.

  3.2 Health and Safety: Compliance with all health and safety instructions provided by instructors is mandatory. Failure to comply may result in removal from the course without a refund.

  3.3 Use of Equipment: Any misuse of equipment or disregard for instructor guidance may result in dismissal from the course for safety reasons. Participants are responsible for any damages caused by but not limited to, negligence, misuse, or wilful damage of equipment.

  4. Course Requirements and Liability

• 4.1 Course Prerequisites: Certain courses require physical fitness, prior experience, or specific skills. Please review course descriptions carefully. Great Oaks is not liable for injuries or other issues arising from unprepared participants.
• 4.2 Assumption of Risk: Arboriculture training involves potential hazards. By enrolling, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with these activities, including but not limited to climbing, use of petrol and battery powered tools, and physical exertion.
• 4.3 Liability Waiver: Great Oaks Tree Services and its affiliates are not liable for any injuries, accidents, loss, or damage to personal property during the training, except in cases of gross negligence.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Course Materials: All materials, handouts, videos, and course content provided by Great Oaks are for personal use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share these materials without our written permission.

5.2 Photography and Recording: Unless otherwise stated, recording or photographing any part of the course content or activities is prohibited without prior consent from Great Oaks.

6. Certification
6.1 Course Completion: Certificates of completion are awarded to participants who meet the

course requirements.

6.2 Certification Validity: Completion of a course does not imply professional certification or licensure. Any use of course certificates in a professional setting is subject to the standards and requirements of relevant certification bodies or regulatory agencies.

7. Privacy

7.1 Personal Data: By enrolling, you agree to our use of your personal information for course administration, including registration, communications, and issuance of certificates. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

8. Amendments

8.1 Changes to Terms: Great Oaks reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Registered participants will be notified of significant changes before their effective date.
